Cortez Clam Factory: A Flavorful Dive Into American Seafood and Bar Cuisine

Live music on a Saturday evening. We were lucky to have a cozy corner for our group of six. Several in our group had the triple tail fish with shrimp. The seasoning was perfect. The rice and broccoli was delicious. Our waitress was lovely, as was the hostess and the rest of the team. Do not miss this hidden gem in Cortez village!

A classic sports bar with excellent food. I searched for a place with whole belly clams as I was driving by. They did not disappoint. The photo shows a nice helping with fries and perhaps actual home made cole slaw. Hard to find now days. Friendly service and reasonable price. Very crowded with a lot of friendly locals enjoying the Sunday football games. I've added this to my list for future visits

We went in on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We sat outside and it was great. Inside was pretty noisy, but it was a full house. Our waiter never checked on us and apologized because he was so busy. But the food made up for all that. We had the steamed peel and eat shrimp and steamed clams, both served in an amazing broth. My husband ate the raw oysters and loved them. We will definitely be back.

Super casual bar/restaurant with good food. We went here on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. The hostess was really nice and accommodating as to where we preferred to sit. Our waitress was friendly and informative. We each got a fruity drink that was well priced and tasty. I ordered the peri peri shrimp with rice off the specials. It was a small dish but fine for me and it was done really nicely. My husband got the tripletail fish that was in a wine sauce with tomatoes, broccoli and shrimp. It was really delicious and he was very happy with his order. The food was better than I would expect from such a casual place. I'm sure their sandwiches and fried stuff is great too... But they did a great job with an un-fried dinner that wasn't a sandwich. We will surely be back next time we are here.

Clam Factory in Bradenton is a longtime family favorite and a true hidden gem. It’s in a tiny retail plaza and easy to miss, but it stays busy for a reason. Since COVID they’ve built a large, comfortable outdoor patio with big-screen TVs and often live music—great spot to catch a big game. Wednesday nights are our tradition for the live Maine lobster special: very reasonably priced and so fresh (flown in from Maine). They also smoke/slow-roast meats on site, and we LOVE the fresh smoked Reuben. We met one of the owners, David, last night—super friendly and clearly an experienced restaurateur. Service is always welcoming, and Marilena did a great job taking care of us. Highly recommend!

1 of my fave spots to catch up with friends. Great food wonderful people. Great specials and of course dog friendly. My only 1 not so great thing is ---restrooms are not handicapped accessible. Otherwise I love it!

We completely destroyed our lunch! We had smoked wings and mussels, some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. Will be back and will tell all of our friends. The Bartender is awesome too. I don’t know his name, but he was great. If you’re on vacation, I highly recommend trying this place out if you want good fresh seafood!!!

We had a great time at Cortez Clam Factory! Our server Nicole was outstanding — super friendly, incredibly attentive, and impressively quick. She made sure we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask twice. The food came out of the kitchen fast, and everything was delicious. The crab balls were as good as expected. Also, if you’re a football fan, this is your spot. I counted 13 TVs around the restaurant — perfect for catching all the games during the season. You won’t miss a play no matter where you’re sitting!
